Microdermabrasion, popularly known as “skin polishing”, is the simple, safe and gentle approach to skin resurfacing. It is an effective form of exfoliation for all skin types and colours with no downtime or discomfort, and is a perfect treatment for people looking to freshen up their skin.

Approximately every 28 days we create a new layer of skin. As new cells form they push their way to the surface where dead cells and other debris then settle. This can cause enlarged and / or clogged pores, a bumpy uneven texture, and a dull appearance. As we age this skin re-newel process slows down leading to the appearance of older skin with less radiance. Microdermabrasion is a versatile treatment that can be done on its own, in a series with other facial treatments.

At Dermal Skin Laser Centre we use the innovative Dermasweep technology, which provides ‘particle-free’ microdermabrasion treatments.

 

Dermasweep is a non-invasive exfoliation and multi-level skin resurfacing system. It features a closed vacuum system.. Dermasweep gently lifts the skin’s surface as the device sweeps away the dead outer layer of skin. The skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow and cleans pores.

Dermasweep also incorporates the use of Epi-infusion and peelfusion treatments to combine exfoliation with specific topical solutions. These are used to treat particular dermatological skin conditions, addressing each client’s unique skin care needs.
